Holistic dental treatment

We welcome children and nervous patients at Lavender Barn so, if you are feeling a little anxious about your dental appointment why not book a treatment beforehand, to soothe those worries away.

We are proud to be a dental practice with a difference. Offering you all the latest techniques, equipment and developments you might hope for – including a wide range of cosmetic dentistry treatments. We also offer kinesiology, ART (autonomic response testing), mercury free dentistry and treatment of dental phobias using a safe, simple, effective method. Forget dental surgeries from the past. From the moment you enter you’ll realise Lavender Barn is just the place to put a smile on your face.

We endeavour to cater to our patients requirements and are pleased to be able to offer:

  • A choice of music to listen to during your appointment
  • The use of hot hand wax to soften your hands whilst receiving your treatment
  • Hot scented towels for use after your treatment, if required.
  • A choice of mouthwashes
  • Choice of refreshments

Silver Fillings

Here at Lavender Barn we do not use mercury amalgam (silver) fillings but use tooth coloured bio-compatible materials to restore the teeth. Please contact us for a consultation regarding amalgam removal as we have devised a programme to safely remove them.

  • Lavender Barn Mercury Amalgam Detox Plan
  • Nutritional advice
  • Autonomic Response Testing (ART)
  • Dietary supplements
  • Safe removal protocol
  • Aqua Detox
  • Colour therapy

The safe removal procedure includes use of charcoal, rubber dam, eye protection and medical air, as well as special appointment schedules which minimise disruption to the body’s bio-rhythms, acupuncture meridians and the immune system.

Tips for Oral Healthcare

  • Remember to brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes twice a day.
  • Remember to floss your teeth or use inter-dental brushes daily.
  • Please do not drink any fizzy drinks if you are wearing any type of orthodontic brace
  • Whilst most dental practices recommend fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash, we have a stock of fluoride free toothpaste and mouthwash available to purchase. Please ask at reception.
  • Please brush and clean your teeth prior to your hygienist/dental appointment
  • If you are a nervous patient we can arrange a therapy appointment for you prior to your dental appointment (e.g. aromatherapy, reiki healing, acupuncture etc), if you wish. Please advise us.
  • For maximum oral health we recommend using an electronic toothbrush, such as the Philips Sonicare.
  • If you have any special requirements please do not hesitate to tell us and we will endeavour to cater for these.
