Marina Carew BDS qualified at The London Hospital
Medical College in 1987 and has continued to invest regularly
in courses and training, travelling world-wide to increase
her dentistry skills and knowledge.
After years of running her own dental practice
in Stansted, Essex, Marina set up the Marina Carew Dental
Practice and Holistic Clinic at Lavender Barn in March 2002,
thus fulfilling her long-held aspiration to provide extraordinary
facilities offering a deeper level of patient care.
Indeed, being involved in a serious car crash
in 1997 helped Marina form her values about the importance
of care for the patient’s whole health. Additionally,
as a mother of four, Marina is proud of her practice’s
Children’s Dental Care Plan, which offers a unique
level of watchful maintenance throughout the growing years.
Marina recently made a contribution for Carole Caplin’s
book, “Lifesmart”, detailing the benefits of
holistic dentistry.
Marina is on the editorial board of the Women’s
Dental Journal as well as a member of the following: Holistic
Dental Association, International Academy of Oral Medicine
& Toxicology, British Society of Mercury Free Dentistry,
British Society for the study of Craniomandibular Disorders,
British Society of Occlusal Studies, British Homeopathic
Association, American Academy of Functional Orthodontics.
Congratulations to Marina who was accepted as a member of
the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in July 2005.
Marina has been enhancing her skills and knowledge of cosmetic
dentistry (attending the World Aesthetic Congress Seminar
in June 2005) and has been able to help many of our patients,
(using veneers, crowns and invisible braces) giving them
a beautiful smile and great teeth
